Established on Dec. 1, 1941, the Civil Air Patrol adheres to the traditional values and patriotism that have served to propel America to the pinnacle of world status. These values need to be reinforced and enhanced through leadership development to meet the trauma of local and national emergencies and to develop the future leaders of the nation through the CAP Cadet Program. These concepts are imbedded in our Constitution and are as applicable today as they were in 1941.

Philanthropy is uniquely American; while it has spread to other countries around the world, the roots of American philanthropy run deep in our nation. The concept of providing additional financial support to help organizations reach their stated goals, objectives and missions is one of those traditional values referenced in the CAP Constitution.

The CAP cadet and aerospace education programs have long been recognized as two of the premiere youth development programs in the nation. Cadet activities and the classroom education provided through the Aerospace Education Directorate are dedicated to providing the youth of our nation the intellectual and leadership skills necessary in the coming decades.

You can contribute to the programs of the Civil Air Patrol in a variety of ways: by check, credit card, or through a longer term gift. You can also make provision for future generations of cadet leaders through a gift included in your last will and testament.
