About the Activity: |
---|
The mission of APJOC is threefold: Orient CAP Cadets to the USAF Pararescue, Survival, and Combat Rescue Officer career fields; introduce CAP Cadets to certain Pararescue/Special Tactics Team operations; demonstrate to CAP Cadets that one can progress far beyond perceived limits. APJOC is the second course in the PJOC program and is designed to build upon skills learned at PJOC and give cadets a more in-depth understanding of the Guardian Angel Weapon System (GA) of the United States Air Force. The APJOC curriculum goes far beyond that of PJOC by introducing the student to Pararescue/Special Tactics Team Operations, Technical Rescue, Medical, Survival, Team Building, and Rigorous Physical Conditioning. GA is organized into nine specific capabilities: Prepare, Mission Plan, Insert, Movement, Actions on Objective, Medically Treat, Extract, Reintegrate, and Adapt. For 10 training days APJOC pairs cadets with an active duty or reserve USAF Rescue or Special Tactics Squadron. For more details on GA please visit: Guardian Angel Factsheet , Guardian Angel Factsheet #2.
